Returns & Refunds

If something’s not quite right, we’re here to help.

  • You can request a return within 30 days from the date you receive your order.

  • Items must be unused, unopened in original packaging, and include all accessories and proof of purchase.

  • To start a return, email us at support@thetechnologystore.co.nz and wait for approval before sending anything back.

Once we receive and approve your return, we’ll process your refund within 14 days.

Change of Mind

We accept change of mind and “not suitable” returns within the same 30-day period, as long as the item meets our return conditions above.

  • Return shipping is at your cost.

  • A 20% restocking fee (based on the product price) applies for change of mind, incorrect choice, or where the item is opened, used, or not in the required condition.

  • If the item is significantly damaged, missing parts, or not resaleable, we may decline the return or offer a partial refund at our discretion.

Non-Returnable Items

For hygiene reasons, we cannot accept returns of opened earphones or in-ear audio products unless they are faulty.

Your Rights

Nothing in this policy limits your rights under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act 1993 (CGA). If a product is faulty or does not meet the guarantees under the CGA, you may be entitled to a repair, replacement, or refund.

 

Damages and issues

Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items

Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as in-ear audio). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Exchanges

The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

Refunds

We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too. Refunds will be processed within 14 days of approval.
